It is the objective of the department to train the medical students to be able to:

  1. Recognize the normal structure of the human body: its cells, tissues, organs, and systems.
  2. Appreciate the embryological development of parts of the human body and apply it to the management of malformations, which occur during the development.
  3. Correlate the histological and cytological features of organs with their functions in the normal human body with a view of understanding pathological changes.
  4. Use the computer softwares to assist themselves in the understanding of human anatomy and also be able to communicate with the rest of the world.
  5. Appreciate human genetics and correlate it with pattern of inheritance.
